This kit is designed for caregivers of children with blindness or low vision to introduce the importance of oral health care. Educational videos and handouts for caregivers explain the importance and provide guidance for teaching children about topics including brushing and flossing, first visit to the dentist, and advocacy. Fun activities educate about topics including using a toothbrush, learning the taste and smell of toothpaste, and preparing for the sounds of the dental office.
Videos for caregivers are bilingual in English and Spanish. Educational handouts for caregivers are bilingual in English and Spanish and available in high-contrast black or white. Children’s activities are in English and available in high-contrast black.
